1. Scope

유향 스튜디오 (YouHyang Studio, the “Studio”) provides Somewhere, Together and Somewhere, Together Playtest. These Terms cover the game and related online rooms, text chat and friend invitations provided by the Studio.

Valve's applicable terms and policies separately govern Steam accounts, the Steam platform, access acquired through Steam and Steam payments. These Terms do not give the Studio control over your Steam account.

Where offered, these Terms also cover scenery creation, importing external static 3D models, sharing and downloading creations through Steam Workshop, and rooms using those creations. Valve's agreements and applicable Workshop conditions separately govern your Steam account and Workshop use.

2. Eligibility and acceptance

The online service is intended for people aged 14 and older. If you are a minor and applicable law where you live requires a parent or guardian's permission, you must obtain that permission. We do not currently provide an online service for children under 14 or a parental-consent feature.

Before your first online connection, you can review the important conditions and the full Terms, then use the acceptance process shown in the game. If you do not agree, you can choose not to connect online. You can enjoy the game's solo scenery without an online connection.

You can also find these Terms and the Privacy Policy in the game's settings and on the Studio website. We display the effective date and applicable version.

3. The service

The base game is free to use. You can enjoy the available scenery alone or use an internet connection and a valid Steam entitlement for the relevant app to join online rooms of up to eight people. Players of the main game and Playtest can share rooms.

Online features include room listings, room creation and entry, invitation codes and Steam friend invitations, text chat, reports and room management. Internet connectivity, Steam authentication or server availability may temporarily prevent online use.

During the Playtest, you can arrange built-in props and configure a campfire, eight seats, sky, weather and cameras to create scenery. You can also import external static 3D models in GLB format within the supported format, size and performance limits. Creating or saving locally does not by itself publish your files.

When you request sharing, the game uploads the creation's files, title, description and preview to Steam Workshop under the currently signed-in Steam account. The game uploader sets new and updated items to Unlisted. Anyone with the link may still view an item even if it does not appear in searches, so do not use it as confidential storage. Changing visibility on Steam is separate from approval and availability inside the game.

The in-game list offers versions approved by the Studio for downloading, solo viewing and shared rooms. When a room needs different scenery, participants are shown download, verification and preparation status. Creation and sharing features may change during the Playtest. This does not promise voice chat or paid DLC that is not yet on sale.

4. Accounts and rooms

Use a Steam account that you are authorized to use. Do not access the service using someone else's account or credentials, or bypass authentication or access restrictions. A later connection using the same Steam account may replace an earlier connection.

Hosts can choose their room's visibility, capacity and scenery within the available controls, and remove people from their own room. A removed person cannot rejoin that room while it continues to exist. If the host leaves, another participant may become the host.

Public room listings show room names and mood notes. People in the same room can see participants' nicknames, cloak colors and chat messages. Do not publish or share private-room invitation codes without permission.

5. Sharing the space

You are welcome to enjoy the scenery without chatting. Do not pressure others to talk, reply or form a personal relationship. The following conduct is not allowed:

These conduct rules also apply to shared creations, external models, titles, descriptions and previews. Do not upload or share material that infringes others' rights; obscene or sexually explicit content; hate, harassment or threats; personal information disclosed without permission; malicious files; or material designed to bypass security or resource limits.

6. Reports and restrictions

You can use the in-game reporting feature when a problem occurs in your room. A report is not a finding of wrongdoing and does not automatically restrict an account; the Studio reviews reports. Earlier chat messages are not attached automatically.

Taking account of the conduct, its severity and its effect on others, the Studio may close a room or temporarily restrict online access. The current online restriction periods are one, seven or 30 days, separately from a host's room removal. Because the main game and Playtest share moderation, an account restriction may apply to both apps. An online restriction does not by itself prevent you from enjoying solo scenery.

You can ask about the reason or duration of a restriction, or appeal it, through the email in section 10. After any necessary account verification, we review the matter and correct mistaken actions. We do not ask for your Steam password or Steam Guard codes. We do not disclose other people's personal information or reports.

An operator reviews whether a creation may be offered inside the game. Approval applies to the reviewed version; updating an item on Steam does not automatically approve its new version. We may decline approval or stop offering a creation for rights or conduct violations, security, performance or compatibility problems, or reasonable operational reasons. You may request an explanation or appeal through the contact in section 10.

If we identify specific indications of infringement or receive a substantiated report or a rights holder's request to stop availability, we may promptly restrict or suspend in-game listing, downloads and use of the scenery while the matter is reviewed. Urgent measures may be taken without advance notice; where possible, we explain the reason and how to appeal. A report alone is not a finding of infringement. We review the necessary information, correct mistaken actions and follow applicable legal procedures for suspension and restoration.

Send infringement reports and requests to stop availability to the email in section 10. Include the item link or ID, the material at issue, information supporting your rights and authority to make the request, and a contact for our response. Do not send unnecessary personal information, Steam passwords or authentication codes.

Review does not guarantee that every right has been cleared or that a creation is free of defects. Removing availability inside the game is separate from deleting a Steam item or changing its visibility. It does not erase files already downloaded by other users. Valve's policies and procedures govern Steam's own restrictions and removals.

7. Privacy and conversations

Our separate Privacy Policy explains the information we process, our purposes, retention periods and how to exercise your rights. Accepting these Terms is not treated as blanket consent to processing that requires separate consent.

Ordinary chat is relayed live to people in the same room without a server transcript archive. We cannot recover past conversations or messages sent while you were disconnected. We also cannot erase screenshots saved independently by other participants.

8. Maintenance, changes and testing

We may change features or temporarily suspend online availability for maintenance, updates, incident response, security or necessary operational reasons. Where possible, we announce planned interruptions and changes that materially affect use in advance through the website, Steam announcements or similar channels. When an urgent response is necessary, we explain the reason and relevant details afterward.

The Playtest is provided for testing and improvement. It may contain errors; its features, schedule and participant access may change, and the test may end. See the relevant Steam announcements for schedules and closure notices. Participation does not guarantee a release date or future features.

9. Rights and responsibility

The Studio or the relevant rights holders own the game and its bundled content. You may use the game as permitted by your Steam entitlement, these Terms, applicable law and the relevant bundled licenses. These Terms do not authorize copying, selling or distributing material in violation of someone else's copyright.

We make reasonable efforts to address problems and provide a stable service, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. These Terms do not exclude or limit the Studio's responsibility for intentional misconduct or negligence, or any consumer rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

Creators and other lawful rights holders retain their rights in user creations. If you include someone else's material, such as an external model, you must have permission that allows sharing through this service and Workshop and downloading and use by other users.

Buying a model or texture, or obtaining it for free, does not by itself authorize redistribution of its source files. Uploaders must check the source and license of all included material, obtain necessary permissions and comply with required creator credits, source information and license notices. Do not share material extracted from another game without permission, or material for which you cannot establish sharing rights.

Uploaders are responsible under applicable law for infringement and breaches of these Terms attributable to them. If a rights holder raises a concern or a dispute arises, uploaders must reasonably cooperate in verifying sources and permissions. Studio review or approval does not assume that responsibility or exempt the Studio from responsibility for its own intentional misconduct, negligence or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

By sharing a creation, you grant the Studio a free, non-exclusive permission to use the creation, title, description and preview as necessary to review it, display and deliver it inside the game, and provide downloads, local caching and viewing in rooms. Other users may download and view the creation or use it in rooms within the service. This does not authorize resale or redistribution outside the game without separate permission or an applicable license.

This permission does not transfer ownership to the Studio. If the Studio wants to use a user creation separately in advertising or promotional materials outside the game, it will obtain the necessary permission. Steam's agreements govern the rights granted to Valve and Steam's distribution and removal conditions.

10. Contact and changes to these Terms

When we change these Terms, we announce the changes and effective date on the website or through similar channels. For changes that materially affect you, we provide notice before they apply and request fresh acceptance where required. Posting a page or treating silence as acceptance does not replace any consent that is required.

If a dispute arises, we will work with you in good faith to resolve it. Unresolved matters are handled under applicable law and lawful dispute-resolution procedures. These Terms do not remove mandatory consumer protections available where you live.
